Interested in buying Viking Foods products without shipping charges? If you are in Toronto or the GTA, consider visiting us at our store at 31 Railside Road.

We are in the process of updating product listings to include more information about allergens etc but these listings are not complete. If you have any food safety questions please call or email for the most accurate information.

I placed an online order. When will it ship?

Orders are shipped in the order that they are received. If you know that you need to receive your order by a certain date (a gift, because you will be travelling, etc.) please let us know in the Notes section when you place your order and we will accommodate you as best we can.

Transit time for shipping starts only when the product is actually shipped.  Not when you place your order.  We offer no guarantees as to when your order will ship although we always try to ship as soon as possible.

During the holiday season, high order volumes will result in delays.

We do our best to ensure that your order arrives in the best condition. For this reason we try not to ship during periods of extreme cold or hot weather. Depending on your location, we may wait to ship your order so that your goods will not be stranded in a mail facility over the weekend. If you want us to ship your order as soon as possible regardless of weather concerns etc. please let us know in the Notes section. We always recommend express shipping and frozen gel packs in packages containing cold items.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE A $25 MIMIMUM PURCHASE BEFORE TAXES AND SHIPPING FOR YOUR ORDER TO BE PROCESSED.

Can I arrange a delivery in Toronto or the GTA?

Deliveries will be considered on an order by order basis at a minimum $25.00 charge. Greater distance may result in a higher charge.

Are these prices wholesale or retail?

The prices shown are all retail prices in Canadian dollars. Wholesale customers, please contact us for wholesale pricing and please do not place your order through the website. 

Why are some products on your website marked Clearance?

Clearance products are past their best before date but are otherwise in good condition. We offer them to customers interested in saving some money off the regular price of their favourite Viking products.

Best Before dates are on products to guarantee the nutritional composition of the product as stated in the Nutrition Facts table up to that date. Best Before dates are different from Use By dates. If you are concerned about Best Before dates, avoid our clearance section. We offer many products in the other sections of our website with fresh dates at the full regular price. Leave us a Note at checkout if you'd like us to review the dates of your products.

Can I reserve products to pick up at your Toronto store?

Yes! To reserve products or to check that items are in stock, please call our store. Please consult our website for a list of the products we carry. Calling is the best way to guarantee accurate inventory information as during busy periods the website is updated less frequently. 

Can I order fresh-baked Finnish pastries and breads to pick up at your Toronto store?

Advance orders are taken for pick up Thursday afternoon/Friday. We do not visit the bakery every week. These products are also available frozen but please call ahead for availability. 

To place an order for fresh-baked products shipped to your address, please email us to place your order. We ship fresh-baked products on an order-by-order basis at the customer's own risk.

Why are shipping charges not finalized as I check out?

Please note that we only ship to Canadian and American addresses.

We do not use standardized shipping cartons and our products vary widely in size and weight so it is very difficult to determine exact shipping charges before your order is packed and weighed. While we provide shipping estimates as part of our checkout process, which are pretty accurate, we verify the charges for each individual shipment. This guarantees that you pay only for in stock inventory plus the shipping for your specific package. 

We reuse and recycle packaging as much as possible.

FOR CANADA POST DELIVERIES

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE SUGGEST REQUESTING THE "LEAVE A CARD FOR PICKUP" OPTION TO HAVE YOUR PARCEL DROPPED OFF AT A POST OFFICE NEAR YOU FOR PICK UP TO PREVENT PACKAGES BEING STOLEN/GOING MISSING.

FOR UPS

PLEASE CONSIDER SHIPPING YOUR ORDER TO A "UPS ACCESS POINT" FOR PICK UP. THIS OPTION CAN SOMETIMES RESULT IN A LOWER SHIPPING COST AND PRODUCT SAFETY.

What forms of payment do you accept through your online store?

We accept Interac e-Transfer (Canada only), PayPal, and all major credit cards. When your order is ready for shipping we will contact you by phone for your credit card information or by email to arrange an e-Transfer or PayPal payment. If after three attempts we have not heard back from you, your order will be automatically cancelled.

What forms of payment do you accept at your Toronto store?

We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

 

 

 

Privacy Policy

Refer to Shopify's Privacy for Customers document to review what personal information is automatically collected by Shopify as you browse our website.

All information is collected for the purpose of fulfilling orders. Customer personal and payment information is never shared or sold. Customers may explicitly instruct that payment information is not kept on file; in this case paper records of credit card numbers will be destroyed after each order is fulfilled.
